Now for some big news—Shark Stop has now been officially tested on two of the ‘big three’ shark species! Flinders University has completed testing on Tiger Sharks, and while the full study is still awaiting peer review and publishing in a scientific journal, the findings are incredibly promising. Dr. Charlie Huveneers, who led the study, shared this insight: “While internal injuries and bone breakages might still occur… reduced substantial and critical damage from shark bites. This highlights the ability of bite-resistant material to reduce injuries, haemorrhaging, and tissue loss from the large, predatory shark species responsible for most of the severe and fatal bites in Australia.” We’re also hopeful that Bull Shark testing will be on the horizon soon! This partnership strengthens our global presence, but is only just the beginning... 3️⃣ Community Feedback Advertising this investment opportunity has sparked fantastic engagement on social media. It’s clear there’s strong interest in our shark bite resistant wetsuits, echoing the engagement trends we saw during our Kickstarter campaign. The only cynicism we are seeing (if you want to call it that) concerns the fabrics abillity to prevent bone breakages and other non-life threatening injuries during shark bites.
